A presentation was held at the crews christmas party to present Neil Cammish with his letter of thanks from the RNLI Chief of Operations Michael Vlasto.  He received the letter for his boat handling and seamanship when he was the helmsman on the ILB on Saturday 6th April to locate a missing man at Blue Dolphin.  The weather at the time was marginal for the Ilb, so escorted by the Alb they made their way to the North of Filey encountering very nasty conditions in the bay and in the tide race at the end of Filey Brigg, the majority of this service was carried out in less than 20 feet of water with the Ilb having to be held up into large waves on several occasions, For their actions on that day the Ilb crew are to be congratulated.  The search for the man was called off after he was located safe and well ashore.

Below is a picture of the presentation by the Coxswain Malcolm Johnson, to the crew on that day.  Left to right  Leanne Walker, Neil Cammish, Mark Johnson.
