Report of person in water off Hunmanby Gap, person located ashore
Sunday 8th August
2 persons cut off by tide at Club Point North of Filey Brigg , ILB located casualties and evacuated them from the rocks, transfered them to the ALB for the passage back to Filey
Friday 6th August
14m Potter “Blejanehyre” on fire 16 miles North East of Filey, 2 persons on board. The 2 persons were picked up from the liferaft by RAF helicopter and taken back to shore, the ALB recovered the liferaft and stood by the burning vessel till it finally sank 2 hours later. Pictures from service
Saturday 31st July
14m Yacht “Marie Odile” with a fouled propellor, 1 mile NE of Filey Brigg. When ALB arrived on scene the obstruction had cleared from the propellor after checking all was well ALB stood by yacht till skipper was happy all was ok and he carried on his passage to Scarborough. ALB returned to station

9m Coble “Energy” will engine problems 1.5 miles east of Filey with 2 persons on board, towed to Filey
Thursday 1st July
Report of woman fallen down cliff somewhere between Scarborough and Filey, ILB crew located casualty with Police 10m from top of cliff near Green Rock north side of Filey Brigg. 2 crewman were put ashore and climbed 50m up the cliff and assessed the casualty and put her on oxygen till the rest of the emergency services arrived. Woman was evacuated to ambulance at top of cliff by local coastguard team.
Alb stood by till no longer needed then returned to station
Tuesday 22nd June
9m Coble “Lucy Anne” 4 miles ESE of Filey with engine failure 2 persons on board. Towed to Filey
Wednesday 16th June
12m Yacht “Zigzu” with engine problems 1 l=mile East of station vessel towed to Scarborough
Monday 14th June
14m Potter “Blejanehyre” taking in water 2 miles East of Filey, salvage pump passed to vessel and towed to Scarborough
Saturday 12th June
Search for missing person, searched along with Filey Coastguard team from Reighton to Chimney Hole nothing found

15m Yacht “Hideaway” with engine problems North of Filey brigg, vessel escorted to Scarborough
Sunday 16th May
8m Angling boat “Pelagia” with engine failure 1 mile North of Filey with 2 persons on board. Vessel towed to Scarborough
Saturday 2nd January
Reports of 2 persons washed off rocks at Emperors Pool, As lifeboat prepared to launch the persons were seen to leave the area. False alarm with good intent.
