August 29th
8m yacht "Andantino", 5 miles North East of Filey. Holed on the port side and taking in water, 1 person onboard. When the lifeboat arrived at the yacht the lone sailor onboard had plugged the hole and no more water was being taken in . The yacht was then escorted 15 miles to Bridlington and moored in the harbour

July 29th
Reports of red flares being fired South South East of Filey, Flamborough and Filey lifeboats launched, the Flamborough lifeboat located two sailing dinghies with one person on each. They took them in tow then passed them over to the Filey lifeboat, who towed them back to the beach at Filey where they had originally set out from, they had been caught out in an adverse wind and sailed to far from Filey with this they soon became exhausted and fired the flares for assistance as they were making no headway back to Filey.
