Thursday 26th July

18m Trawler "Ocean Maid" with engine failure 23 miles East of Filey, vessel originally was being towed to Scarborough but due to lack of water at harbour on time of arrival, another trawler fishing 50 miles away agreed to tow the boat to North Shields, the vessel was towed by the lifeboat into the shelter of Filey bay, the tow was then passed to the "Jacinth" who would tow the vessel to North Shields.  Images from service

Monday 16th July

10m Potter "Magic" with gearbox failure 2 miles North East of Station, 2 persons onboard.  Towed vessel to Scarborough.

Launched 09:13  Returned to station 11:50

Friday 29th June

9m coble "Energy" with engine failure 3 miles SSE of station 2 persons on board, vessel towed back to beach at Filey.

Launched 08:55 Returned to station 10:50

Wednesday 13th June

Person stranded, at bottom of Cliff, between Chimney Hole and Filey. Area searched by Alb, IIb, Police helicopter and Filey Coastguard team, man was located by Police helicopter and picked up by Ilb then transferred to Alb for passage back to beach at Filey.

Launched 22:45  Returned to station 00:45

Tuesday 17th April

5m Angling boat "Top Cat 2" with engine failure, 3 persons on board. 1 mile North of Filey at Green Rock.  Vessel towed 5.5 miles to Scarborough.

Launched :- 10:25  Returned to Station 13.35

Monday 9th April

9m Coble "Kathryn and Sarah II" with broken rudder 1.5 miles East of Filey with 2 persons on board. Vessel towed back to Filey.

Launched 07:10  Returned to Station 08:30

Weather :- Wind Westerly   Sea Smooth

Sunday 8th April

10m Potter "Silver Line" 3 miles East of Filey with a fouled propellor, 3 persons on board. Vessel freed from obstruction by local divers, then the vessel was towed to Scarborough.

Launched 07:30 Returned to Station 12:30

Thursday 22nd March

9m Coble "Kathryn and Sarah II" With engine failure 1.5 miles East of Filey with 3 persons on board.  Vessel towed to beach at Filey.
