Filey lifeboat model wins Gold Medal and model lifeboat trophy

The model of Filey's mersey class lifeboat "Keep Fit Association" owned and built by Alan Robinson, was exhibited at Sandown Park at The Model Engineer Exhibition between 29th December and 1st January 2002. 

The model was awarded a Gold Medal, one of only eight awarded in this prestigious competition and the trophy for the best model lifeboat. A marvelous achievement for Alan and his son Matthew for all the hard work that has gone into the making of what must be the best Mersey model to be made to date.
