She had been built in 1915 for Lyme Regis in Dorset, where she served until the station was closed in 1932, during the 3 years she served at Filey she launched 11 times on service
The first service by this lifeboat took place n 12th November 1937 when she went to the aid of 9 cobles caught out in a NNW gale, she escorted them all to safety.
On 25th February 1938 she launched to the trawler “Buckingham” of Grimsby, ashore to the North of Filey with 16 crew on board, the lifeboat stood by until the trawler refloated.
The lifeboat launched for the last time at Filey on 5th March 1940 after a reports of red flares sighted the area was searched but nothing was found.
